Position Summary:


Director will be responsible for the discipline of students and supervision and mentoring of faculty as well as the development of a positive school culture. The Campus Director is fully responsible for the implementation of the iSchool Curriculum.  iSchool curriculum, cultivation of moral character, and partnership with parents are cornerstones. Director will be responsible for the discipline of students and supervision and mentoring of faculty as well as the development of a positive school culture.  The Campus Director is fully responsible for the implementation of the iSchool and Dual Credit Curriculum.  


Qualifications:


Education/Certification:

  • Four-year degree from an accredited College or University (Masters Preferred)
  • Teaching certificate or school administrator certificate (preferred)

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in an educational environment
  • 3+ years of experience working with administrative leadership, clients and/or stakeholders, and/or education personnel related to school improvement, facilitation of learning, or related educational interests
  • 3+ years of experience in supervising a staff of 5 or more
  • 3+ years of experience in managing budgets

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

  • Advanced knowledge of federal and state education laws.
  • Strong organizational, time management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • A clear understanding of development of students and the classical approach.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with students, parents, teachers, the community, administrative staff, and Regional Directors.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of students, their parents, teachers, the community, peers, administrative staff, superintendent, and home office staff.
  • Ability to interpret policy, procedures, and student data such as diagnostic test results, state assessments scoring, transcripts, and grade point averages.
  • Ability to speak in public on a frequent basis
  • Able to cast a vision for the future of the school
  • Able to explain what a classical education is
  • Ability to travel as necessary

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Directly supervises employees in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Interviews, hires, and trains employees.
  • Plans, assigns and directs work.
  • Appraises the performance of staff, rewards and disciplines employees according to the Classical Academy's policies and procedures, and addresses and resolves complaints and problems.
  • Advocates, nurtures, and sustains a school culture and instructional program conducive to student learning and staff professional growth.
  • Ensure management of the organization, operation, and resources for a safe, efficient, and effective learning environment.
  • Collaborating with faculty and community members, responding to diverse community interests and needs, and mobilizing community resources.
  • Acts with integrity fairness, and in an ethical manner.
  • Understands, responds to, and influences the political, social, economic, legal, and cultural context of the assigned student population.
  • Develops and evaluates educational program to ensure conformance to state and school board standards.
  • Develops and coordinates educational programs through meetings with staff, review of teachers' activities, and issuance of directives.
