Position Summary:
The testing coordinator works under the supervision of the Campus Director to manage and coordinate all state and federally mandated assessments.
Qualifications: Education/Certification:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Valid Texas Teacher Certification (preferred)
Experience:
Teaching experience (preferred)
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
- Effective, written, and oral communication skills
- Ability to interpret policies, and procedures as needed per testing program(s)
- Ability to problem solve and to adapt to organizational and industry changes
- Ability to identify areas of improvement and modify an effective instructional program
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Lead and train campus on state and local testing.
- Adhere to state district guidelines related to testing, the District and Campus Coordinator manual, the STAAR Assessment Management System (TOMS) User Guide, Test Security Supplement and ALL Test Administrator Manuals-STAAR, STAAR-EOC, TELPAS, etc.
- Liaison for all assessment communication and updates.
- Develop assessment plans with campus administrative team.
- Report participation counts and student data file to district and administration.
- Implement and manage training sessions for test administrators, monitors, and other campus staff.
- Coordinate with campus administrators (special education, bilingual/ESL, 504, etc.) to ensure appropriate test administration.
- Review and audit the demographic and special program information on answer documents and pre-coded labels.
- Prepare and facilitate paper and online test administrations include the management of scorable and non-scorable test materials.
- Maintain and compare student’s coursework and EOC subject exam success.
- Assist with investing and reporting test irregularities.
- Provide and communicate information to other staff members, parents, and students about the assessment calendar and timelines for receipt and distribution of results.
- Maintain test security and confidentiality, and integrity at all times.
- Responsible for all testing documentation compliance.
- Attend all assessment training as directed by the administration.
- Prepare and administer summer testing.
- All other duties as assigned by manager.
