Position Summary:
The Campus Dean of Instruction manages the effective implementation of curriculum and instruction, plans and executes professional development sessions, facilitates the use of data to inform instruction, and assists the Campus Director with the administration of the school. Qualifications: Education/Certification:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Teaching certification required
- Master's degree and principal certification preferred
- A major in education, administration, or curriculum/instruction preferred
Experience At least 3 years of teaching experience
Supervisory/leadership experience preferred
Teacher coaching experience preferred

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Build smooth and efficient working relations that positively impact academics; work closely and efficiently with the campus director to ensure student success
- Observe, coach and mentor instructional staff to ensure that teaching is at all times intentional, engaging, and rigorous; modeling a variety of instructional strategies
- Monitor and assess teacher performance
- Support teachers in the planning process and provide regular feedback
- Assist in the development and implementation of campus-specific staff development
- Identify problems in academic performance, recommend and implement solutions in a timely manner
- Ensure that student progress is evaluated on a regular, systematic basis and that the findings are used to make instructional programs and services more effective
- Participate in developing the Campus Improvement Plan and assist with curriculum-related activities such as program development and evaluation
- Assist the Campus Director in aligning campus budget allocations in the area of academic excellence
- Effectively implement the instructional delivery of special programs designed to close the achievement gap of the students in at-risk situations, evaluate the programs for effectiveness, and revise the programs as needed to improve student achievement.
- Coordinate implementation of district approved curriculum, distribution of current curriculum guides, and other instructional materials
- Coordinate and oversee Title I programs on campus including Parent and Family Engagement, Migrant, and Homeless Services.
- Complete other duties as assigned
